Music Teacher

Billie finds incredible joy in helping others realize their musical dreams and has been a private music teacher for over 15 years.  She teaches guitar (electric and acoustic in all musical styles), electric and double bass, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, and songwriting.

She holds an Bachelor's Degree in Classical Guitar Performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina as well as a Second Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Studies (with a focus in Gutiar Performace) from North Carolina Central University located in Durham, North Carolina.  Billie is also a certified Suzuki Guitar Teacher.

Currently, Billie teaches primarily through High Strung Violins and Guitars in Durham, NC.  If you would like to take lessons at the High Strung School of Music please contact them through their website.

You can find Billie at two of High Strung's "Learning Jams" - the Honky-Tonk Jam on Thursday nights (8:30pm-10pm) and every 2nd and 4th Monday at the High Strung Jazz Jam starting in the fall.  Please check their website for details.
